75. The Mysterious Disappearance of the Lost Colony of Roanoke
This is our 75th episode! To celebrate, we are going to cover one of the oldest unsolved mysteries in history: The mysterious disappearance of the Lost Colony of Roanoke. It all started out with a promise to the governor from the colony that if they had to leave their place of residence by the time he got back from England while retrieving more supplies, they would carve the name of the location of where they went into a fencepost. When the governor came back, the word “Croatoan” was discovered, but when they went to search, the colony was nowhere to be found and historians to this day have no clue what happened to the 115 colonists.
